For those of you following along, I’m making slow but steady progress on the amount of opened but un-dealt-with email in my inboxes. The problem I have is that making folders doesn’t make those messages go away, and in most cases, for me, out of sight does mean out of mind. Like, I created a Product Review Jobs folder for emails pertaining to reviews I’ve been asked to write, but beyond adding new emails to it, I’ve been forgetting to open it and actually WRITE the reviews.
I feel guilty about reviews that were due MONTHS ago. I have this huge cardboard box in my dining room FULL of things I’ve been sent to review, and they weren’t just sent to me for no reason, I replied to the emails and said sure, send me a sample, I’ll review it and write up a post about it. And then more packages kept coming and coming and now I’m in way over my head!
It doesn’t help that Chris (my husband) has been in Toronto on business since last Thursday and will be there until this Friday, leaving me to parent and keep house for our three kids. I’m behind on dishes, laundry, dusting, and vacuuming, too. It’s hard work! I even spent a good chunk of this past Saturday in my room working while Ryan watched Kaitlyn, and I still didn’t get caught up.
But, all I can do is try my hardest to keep up. So that’s what I’m doing, one email at a time.
It takes time, but you’ll catch up!

I think that my inboxes are the only aspect of my life that I keep nice and tidy, actually.
Trust me, people judge you much harsher based on the state of your living room than they do the state of your inboxes
Hang in there! Hope the hubby gets home soon!
